A 26-year-old gold miner has been charged with the murder of Morvin George following an incident at 14 Miles, Arakaka Backdam, North West District.
Joshua James, of 14 Miles, Arakaka Backdam, was arrested on September 29 and charged on Friday with murder, contrary to common law. He appeared before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh at the Port Kaituma Magistrate’s Court via Zoom, where the charge was read to him.
James was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned to November 10, 2026.
