Roman Daniels scored 23 to guide Herstelling A to victory over Laluni.

Uprising will look to build on consecutive victories when they face Peters Hall and Eccles at Canal No. 2 Ground today, as the EBDCA/Rovin Dookie Annual T10 Tournament continues.

Their next challenge follows a tense one-run win against Silverbullet and another victory over Timehri at Laluni Ground. Uprising meet Peters Hall at noon on Saturday before returning against Eccles at 14:00h. The day’s opening match features Peters Hall and Eccles at 10:00h.

Alphuis Bookie was a key contributor in Uprising’s two victories, scoring 44 and 43, while Mohamed Baksh collected two wickets in each match.

Against Silverbullet in the previous Sunday’s 10:00h fixture, Bookie struck six fours and two sixes in his 44. Anthony Hutson added 28 with three fours and a six as Uprising reached 106 for two from 10 overs.

Silverbullet came close but finished on 105 for four. Baksh returned two for 16, while Tameshwarnauth Sankar took one for 14 to help Uprising secure the narrow victory.

Bookie then made 43, including four fours and two sixes, as Uprising posted 116 for four against Timehri at noon. Timehri scored 38 for seven in 5.2 overs in reply, with Baksh claiming two for eight and Sankar taking two for 12.

Peters Hall will also head into today’s meeting with two victories behind them, having defeated Little Diamond and Alexander Village at Canal Ground.

Earlier, Peters Hall defeated Little Diamond by 19 runs in the 10:00h opener. Vishwanauth Ramlakhan scored 25, including three fours and a six, while Shazam Ramjohn added 18 with one four and two sixes in a total of 97 for seven.

David Singh took three for 20 and Anthony Singh claimed two for 17 for Little Diamond, but their batting response ended at 78 for six. Kevin Plants made 19 and Jaffa Ally scored 16, each hitting two sixes.

Robin Seecharran returned three for 10 for Peters Hall, supported by Vishwanauth Jadunauth’s one for 10. Little Diamond also lost their noon encounter against Alexander Village.

Herstelling A were the other double winners, beating Patrewta at noon and Laluni by five wickets at 14:00h during Saturday’s programme at Laluni Ground. Laluni had opened the day with a 10:00h victory over Patrewta.

Against Herstelling A, Laluni posted 78 for six from 10 overs. Arshad Azim took two for 11 and Anand Bharat one for 11 before Roman Daniels scored 23 and Andrew Lim added 20 to guide Herstelling A to 80 for five in 10 overs. Both batsmen hit one four and two sixes.

The previous round at Farm Ground produced one victory for each team on both days.
