A fireman dousing the embers

The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) today said that  it responded to a house on fire at Lot 60 Block E Plum Park Sophia Greater Georgetown.

Water Tender #130 and Water Carrier #26 from Headquarters, under the command of Sub-Officer Burnett, responded.

Upon arrival, the GFS said that firefighters found a flat wooden house fully engulfed in flames.

With the swift and coordinated efforts of the firefighters, the fire was extinguished. However, the building and its contents were destroyed.
