West Indies Masters recorded a convincing 159-run victory over Rest of the Caribbean (ROTC) in a warm-up match at the Police Sports Club ground ahead of the International Masters Cricket Over-40s World Cup in Guyana.

Imran Khan led the way with 129 from 80 balls and bowling figures of 3-26.

Khan’s century ensured West Indies Masters posted 285 after winning the toss and opting to bat. Antonnel Atwell then claimed four wickets to help dismiss Rest of the Caribbean for 126 in 22.4 overs.

The performance provided an encouraging outing for West Indies as preparations continue for the tournament, which begins on October 17.

Khan’s innings contained 14 fours and six sixes. He received support from Sewnarine Chattergoon, who made 35 from 23 balls with seven fours, while captain Denesh Ramdin contributed 32 from 29 deliveries and Nickey Latchman added 31 from 40.

Mahabeer was the leading wicket-taker for ROTC, finishing with 4-60 from eight overs. Jieunick Mingo supported him with 2-42 from seven.

In reply, ROTC struggled to build a sustained challenge. Asif Chan top-scored with 32 from 28 balls, including five fours, while Vinai Hingoo made 21. Andrew Lyght Jr. contributed 16 and captain Devi Maharaj scored 15.

Atwell finished with 4-44 from 6.4 overs, while Khan followed his century with 3-26 from four overs to earn the Player-of-the-Match award.

Rakesh Maharaj also delivered an effective spell, taking 2-11 from four overs, including two maidens, as West Indies completed a comfortable victory.

More warm-up matches are slated for later this week, with West Indies returning to action against India at Lusignan on Wednesday, while ROTC will look to improve in an outing against Australia on Thursday at GCC, Bourda.

On the same day, India will face Namibia at Enmore, while West Indies host USA at the National Stadium, Providence.

The 2026 International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s World Cup begins on October 17.

The tournament will bring together 16 teams for 72 matches, with the final scheduled for October 31 at the same venue. Matches will be played over 45 overs per side, and admission to all games will be free.
