(Kaieteur News) – Mark Gentle, a 33-year-old gold miner of Durban Street, Lodge, Georgetown, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition without Licence, contrary to Section 16(2)(a) of the Firearms Act, Chapter 16:05.

Gentle appeared on Tuesday before Her Worship Magistrate Caressa Henry at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court, where the charges were read to him. He pleaded not guilty to both charges and was remanded to prison until November 17, 2026.
