Mother and Daughter “Symphony of Love” pageant set for this Saturday at NCC

Under the theme, ‘A Symphony of Love’, the 32nd annual Mother and Daughter Pageant, one of Guyana’s most anticipated events, will take place this Saturday at the National Cultural Centre.

This year, the event will also showcase fathers and sons, as it is being hosted on the eve of Father’s Day.

The Mother and Daughter Pageant, initially founded by Educator, Ms. Ingrid Fung, is now hosted by her Supa Stylistics company, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.

Organiser of the show, Dr. Sulan Fung-Browne, today said one of the highlights of this year’s pageant is the introduction of a non-competitive showcase, which includes the fathers and their sons.

“This year’s edition includes a special non-competitive showcase, making the 2025 pageant a true celebration of the entire family unit. Each day this week features fathers and sons’ pairs will be revealed via the pageant’s official platforms on Facebook and Instagram, building anticipation for an unforgettable show night”, said Sulan Fung-Browne.

The pageant consists of three categories with Igloo supporting the Junior category, while SAP Properties has given its support to the Middle category, and KFC stands as the proud sponsor of the Senior category and the Red-Carpet Experience.

“This year we are once again happy to be a Proud Sponsor of the Senior Category of this beautiful Mother and Daughter Pageant. In addition to that, I am excited to announce that we are also sponsoring for the first time this year, the KFC Red-Carpet experience where elegance, excitement and flavour come together”, KFC’s Marketing Representative, Charmaine Farnum said.

Tickets for the event are being sold at the National Cultural Centre, and each ticket holder will be automatically be entered into a grand door prize drawing for a mystery international trip. The winner will be announced at the show.
