Men on Mission (MoM) will celebrate its fourth anniversary with a cycling meet offering more than GY$800,000 in prizes at the Main Street Circuit on October 18, 2026, starting at 07:00h.
The event will bring together riders across eight categories as MoM combines its anniversary celebrations with support for the President’s health and wellness initiative.
Billed as a “High Octane” cycle race celebration, the programme will feature BMX, female, junior, Category Four, novice and elite races, along with Masters 35-and-over and Masters 50-and-over events.
The range of categories provides opportunities for both experienced competitors and newcomers to participate, with MoM extending an invitation to anyone who owns a bicycle to come to the starting line and join the action.
A special one-lap race for ministers and permanent secretaries will also form part of the programme, with bragging rights at stake. That encounter will add another attraction to a morning that combines competitive cycling with wider participation.
MoM organised the event to encourage physical activity while marking four years of the One Guyana initiative. The anniversary meet will carry that message through a sporting celebration intended to involve people with different levels of cycling experience.
Participants are being encouraged to bring their bicycles and take part in what organisers have described as “A One Guyana Celebration”.
